ABOUT ME

Kerry Jones

Bsc(Hons) Physiotherapy, MCSP, HCPC,  MAACP, Full Certified APPI Pilates Instructor, Level 4 Personal Trainer

Kerry Graduated from Bournemouth University in 2010, starting her career at University Hospital Southampton completing both her junior and senior rotations in the major trauma centre where she spent 8 years of her career focusing on Orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions. She then moved across to private practice where she furthered her knowledge and assessment skills of whiplash, postural related injuries and acute to end stage sporting rehabilitation.

As a keen traveller Kerry has also worked in the Swiss Alps treating lots of ski and snowboard related injuries and even in a remote village in Ghana where the lack of medical equipment tested her approach and encouraged her to learn more inventive new treatment skills.

With her love for the south coast she returned to Bournemouth in 2020 to focus on her passion for helping people achieve their goals whether that be for an extreme sport or everyday life activities.

Kerry feels very passionately about using Pilates as a form of rehabilitation and injury prevention. After starting her Pilates instructor journey in 2018, she qualified as a fully certified APPI instructor in June 2020. Since then she has furthered her training by completing the Pilates for runners certification, Pilates for spinal surgery, Ante natal and post natal Pilates course and the full Reformer certification.

In her spare time Kerry has always been a keen sportswoman and participated in competitive Netball. In recent years her love has been for the outdoor lifestyle, whether it be hiking up a mountain to complete an SAS challenge, surfing in Morocco or quite simply paddle boarding down the river Stour.
